Widget and Siri

Start and stop trips from companion features and choose default vehicles for quick actions.

Widget, and Siri

Travel Logs includes companion features for faster trip actions. These features use the same trip records as the main app.

Widget

The widget can open Travel Logs to start a new trip or continue an active trip flow. It uses the default widget vehicle selected in Settings.

To choose the default widget vehicle:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Widget.
  3. Select the vehicle.

Siri Shortcuts

Siri Shortcuts can help you start a trip, stop the current active trip, or add an expense.

To configure shortcuts:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Siri Shortcuts.
  3. Select the vehicle action you want to use.
  4. Add the shortcut in iOS when prompted.

Siri permission must be allowed before voice shortcuts can work.

Permissions and reliability

For best results, allow notifications and keep Background App Refresh enabled. If a companion action starts a trip and Live tracking is enabled, Travel Logs can continue recording distance and route details.
