Sync Troubleshooting
Use this guide when Travel Logs appears stuck while syncing, or when the sync progress numbers do not look right.
Signs that sync may be stuck
- Sync stays on screen for a long time without finishing.
- The progress count looks incorrect.
- Sync keeps restarting or looping.
- Recent trips, routes, expenses, or maintenance records are not appearing on another device or on the web.
What to do
1. Keep the app open.
Leave Travel Logs open on screen while syncing.
Try not to:
- switch to another app
- lock the phone
- force close the app mid-sync
2. Use a stable connection.
Connect to reliable Wi-Fi if possible.
Large syncs work best when:
- the internet connection is stable
- the phone has a good battery level
- the device is plugged into power
3. Try one manual sync.
Open Travel Logs and trigger sync once.
Then wait a few minutes to see if it completes.
4. Fully close and reopen the app
If sync still appears stuck:
- Close Travel Logs completely.
- Reopen the app.
- Try manual sync again.
5. Avoid making new changes until sync finishes.
While sync is stuck, try not to create or edit:
- trips
- routes
- expenses
- maintenance records
New changes can cause more sync work to be queued before the current sync finishes.
If it still does not recover
Please contact support and include:
- whether you are using iPhone or Android
- a screenshot of the sync progress
- whether the app was closed or sent to the background during sync
- whether this is the first large sync on the device
Important
Do not uninstall the app unless support tells you to.
Uninstalling can remove local data that has not synced yet.
