Getting Started

Travel Logs helps you record vehicle trips, expenses, maintenance, places, and fleet records from one app. Start with a vehicle, choose the tracking settings you need, then record trips manually or with automation.

Set up the app

  1. Open Travel Logs.
  2. Sign in or create an account.
  3. Review the permission prompts. Automation works best when Location is set to Always (iOS) or Allow all the time (Android), notifications are allowed, and Background App Refresh is enabled (iOS), Battery optimisation is disabled (Android).
  4. Open Settings to confirm your units, tracking, and location preferences.

See Permissions and Settings for the full setup checklist.

Add your first vehicle

  1. Open Vehicles.
  2. Add a vehicle.
  3. Enter the plate and optional vehicle details.
  4. Add a photo if you want the vehicle to be easier to identify.
  5. Save the vehicle.

After the vehicle exists, you can start trips, attach expenses and maintenance, configure automation, and submit records to a fleet team if your account supports fleets.

Start a trip

Use the Activity page to start a new trip for a vehicle. Travel Logs records the start time, start location when location access is available, and the starting odometer based on your prefill settings.

When you stop the trip, Travel Logs records the stop time, destination, distance, and route if live tracking and route recording are enabled.
