To use the CarPlay app, vehicles have to be created in the Travel Logs iOS app first. Upon starting, you will see your vehicles listed. Tap on the vehicle and tap "Start Trip" to commence logging.

You can automate the logging of the trips by enabling the feature to automatically start or stop your trip when your iPhone connects and disconnects from Apple CarPlay. This can be enabled on the vehicle screen in the app.
