CarPlay Automation
Start and stop trips automatically with CarPlay connection changes.
iOS
CarPlay Automation
CarPlay Automation starts and stops trips when CarPlay connects or disconnects for a selected vehicle.
Set up CarPlay automation
- Open Vehicles.
- Select the vehicle.
- Turn on Automatic tracking.
- Select Advance mode and select CarPlay.
- Save the vehicle.
Only one vehicle can have Wireless CarPlay Automation enabled at a time.
How it works
When CarPlay connects, Travel Logs starts a trip for the selected vehicle.
When CarPlay disconnects, Travel Logs stops the active trip for that vehicle.
Notifications can tell you when the trip starts or ends.
CarPlay controls
When Travel Logs is available in CarPlay, the CarPlay view shows vehicles and trip status. You can:
- Select a vehicle.
- Start a trip.
- Stop a trip in progress.
- View trip duration, distance, and start location when available.
Tips
- Use this automation only for the vehicle that uses CarPlay.
- If multiple vehicles use CarPlay, enable the automation on the vehicle you use most often.
- If CarPlay automation does not trigger, confirm CarPlay connects wirelessly and the correct vehicle has the setting enabled.
