Bluetooth Automation

Bluetooth Automation uses a selected hands-free Bluetooth device to start and stop trips. When the device connects, Travel Logs starts a trip for the vehicle. When it disconnects, Travel Logs stops the active trip for the vehicle.

Set up Bluetooth automation

1. Connect your device to the vehicle's hands-free Bluetooth device.
2. Open Vehicles.
3. Select the vehicle.
4. Turn on automatic tracking.
5. Tap Select Advance mode and choose the Bluetooth device.
6. Save the vehicle.

The selected device is saved with the vehicle.

How it works

Travel Logs watches for Bluetooth connection changes. If the selected device connects, the app starts a trip for the matching vehicle. If the selected device disconnects, the app ends the active trip for that vehicle.

If the device is not listed

Make sure the device is powered on, paired with the device, and currently connected. Then open the Bluetooth selector again.

Only connected hands-free style devices are shown. The iPhone microphone is ignored.

Tips

• Choose the Bluetooth device that reliably connects when you enter the vehicle.
• Avoid using a shared headset or speaker that may connect outside the vehicle.
• If trips do not start or stop, check Bluetooth connection status and notification permissions.
